Binder Family

Patrick Binder - Principal (pbinder@rnesu.org)

Patrick has been working in education for almost thirty years. Between 1995-2015 he coordinated talented and gifted camps for the Belin-Blank Center for Gifted Education at the University of Iowa and taught in Iowa, Alaska, Hawaii, and Oregon as social studies and language arts teacher.

From 2015-2022, Patrick and his family lived and worked at international schools in Panama, Kazakhstan, and Guatemala where he aligned curriculum, directed athletics and activities, and taught before moving back to the United States where he was at Otter Valley as the associate principal from 2022-2024.

Patrick and his wife, Shanti, live in East Middlebury and have three children. Solstice is at Middlebury Union High School, Arusha is at Plymouth State University, and Io is at Vermont State. Shanti is a math teacher at Middlebury Union Middle School.

Lee Family

Shauna Lee - Assistant Principal (slee@rnesu.org)

Shauna has been a Vermont educator and athletic coach for twenty five years. She spent twenty-one years in Addison Central Supervisory District in Middlebury where she taught kindergarten, first, second, and sixth grades. In addition to the classroom, Shauna was a teacher leader, coach, and mentor. 

Between 2019-2022 Shauna worked as an elementary school social emotional learning Leader as well as ACSD's district SEL Coordinator. 

In 2022 she came to The Neshobe School as a fourth grade teacher and then the Dean of Students.

Shauna lives in Brandon with her family and enjoys working in her hometown community. Her husband Craig is the sales manager of Stone CDJR in Middlebury, daughter Julia is a registered Nurse at Porter Medical Center, and her youngest Anna will be a sophomore in college. Together, they enjoy spending family time traveling and hanging out with their three dogs.

Gregory Family

Sara Gregory - Elementary Supervisor of Special Services (sgregory@rnesu.org)

Sara has been an educator for seventeen years.  Her first two years in teaching were spent as a Special Educator at Fair Haven Union High School in Fair Haven, VT and the next twelve of those years were spent as a Special Educator in Rutland City public schools, where she taught fundamental academics, life skills, and transitional skills at Rutland High School in Rutland, VT. For the last three years Sara has been here in Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union first as a Special Educator at Barstow and now as the Supervisor of Elementary Student Support Services at Neshobe. 

Sara lives with her husband Gary, her daughter Lily, her son Bennett, and their dog Remy in North Clarendon, VT.  Lily will be a freshmen at Mill River Union High School and Bennett will be a fourth grader at Clarendon Elementary School.  They enjoy spending time with each other at Vermont Lake Monsters games, in and around bodies of water in the summer months, and skiing/snowboarding in the winter months.
