Dear Neshobe Community,
As the new school nurse at Neshobe, I want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU for helping us get the school year off to a positive start. Your support and partnership are essential in helping our students embrace healthy habits and settle into routines that support their overall well-being.
It has been inspiring to see how thoughtfully students are caring for themselves and one another. They are using the new school hall passes to visit the nurse’s office responsibly and respectfully, and doing their part to return ice packs and other supplies after use. These small actions make a big difference and help us keep the nurse’s office running smoothly and ready for anyone who may need care.
Together, we are working toward establishing regular routines, following health protocols, and making the nurse’s office a place where every student can receive care in a private, calm, and manageable way. Like every classroom, this space is designed to be safe and supportive, offering not only physical care but also a quiet place to rest and regulate emotions when needed.
When students visit the nurse's office during the day, I will always reach out to share information if your child receives treatment or needs follow-up. I welcome both calls and emails from families, and I’m here to answer questions, provide guidance, and be a resource for your student’s health needs.
REMINDER
Please remember to keep your child home if they are feeling unwell. Symptoms such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, persistent cough, or any contagious illness should be taken seriously. Keeping sick students at home helps prevent the spread of illness to other students and staff. If we bring sickness to school it will impact the entire Neshobe community, causing increases in absences, difficulty learning and overall staying healthy. If your student has any of the above listed symptoms they need to remain at home free of symptoms for 24 hours! If you have any questions regarding illnesses do not hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for helping us keep our school a safe and healthy place for everyone!
