Dear Neshobe Families and Caregivers,

We are looking forward to connecting with you during our upcoming Family and Caregiver Conferences. These 15-minute meetings are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your child’s growth, discuss progress, and strengthen the partnership between home and school. Students in grades 3 and above should attend the conference.

Please use the Neshobe Family & Caregiver Conference Sign-Up Sheet to choose a time that works best for you.

Families of students in Team Discovery (grades 5–6) should note that conference times have already been sent via the email address you provided. If you need to make any changes to your scheduled time, please feel free to reach out directly to the Team Discovery teachers.

How to Sign Up

1. Click the link to open the sign-up sheet.

2. Find your teacher’s name or grade level for your child(ren).

3. Click on the link for the teacher’s name.

4. Choose the date and 15-minute meeting time that work best for you:

• Thursday, November 6 (3:00–7:00 PM)

• Wednesday, November 12 (3:00–6:30 PM)

5. In the “Student Name” column, type your student’s name.

6. In the “Family/Caregiver Name” column, type your name.

7. If you have any special requests (for example, a phone or virtual meeting), note that in the “Notes” column.

8. Please sign up for one slot per child so that everyone has time to connect with teachers.

Helpful Tips

• If you have more than one child, please be sure to sign up for a separate time with each child’s teacher.

• If your preferred time is already taken, choose another open slot or reach out to your child’s teacher to make alternative arrangements.

• If you need assistance signing up, contact the Neshobe office at (802) 247-3721 and we will be happy to help.

Vermont leaders are working on ways to strengthen our public education system, manage costs, and improve opportunities for all students. To do this well, they want to hear directly from you.

We invite you to take 8–10 minutes to complete this survey and share your perspective. Your input will provide critical guidance as the Legislature, the Commission on the Future of Public Education, and the School District Redistricting Task Force consider the best path forward.

Ms. Chicoine's PE classes are biking next week, and hopefully, the following week when it's not raining. Students are welcome to bring their own bikes & helmets - helmets are especially helpful, even if you don't bring your own bike. If you do have your student bring a bike, locking the bike is your responsibility. Also, please make sure your kids have jackets & gloves as it is getting colder outside.

2025 Brandon Area Toy Project Registration

**Forms due back by OCTOBER 26, 2025**

The Brandon Area Toy Project is a local non-profit group working to provide additional holiday gifts and support for kids residing in Brandon, Goshen, Leicester, Whiting, and Sudbury whose family is in need of assistance. Children MUST be BIRTH to grade 6 and reside in one of the towns listed above. If you are in need of some support from BATP (Brandon Area Toy Project) this holiday season, and fit the criteria, please complete the online registration form by OCTOBER 26, 2025

Students in sixth grade have finished up their Square 1 Art and begun choice-based art. They recently opened the clay center and lessons have focused on the "coil method" of handbuilding with clay. Elsie, Katherine, and Logan worked together to create the large coil pot you see in the picture. They are planning to glaze it then use it as a planter and donate it to one of our spaces here at school!

Mr. Darling's sixth grade class got a special visit from a praying mantis that decided to join us during art. We decided it wasn't interested in working with clay so we put it back outside.

Neshobe Family Bingo: Sunday, Nov. 16 2-4pm. Basket raffle drawing at 3pm!

Join us for an afternoon of Bingo in the Neshobe gym. There will be snacks for sale. Don't miss the drawing for the basket raffle at 3pm!

Neshobe School is looking for help taking care of the chickens on the weekends and non-school days. Chicken helpers would make sure the chickens have fresh water, enough food, check that the pen looks okay, and take home any eggs! Bringing treats is optional. If you are interested in signing up, you can view the calendar here. You are not able to sign up directly on the calendar.
