As we head into Spring Break (April 20–24), I hope this time offers you rest and a sense of peace. The year has moved quickly, and we are now on a short path to the end of the academic year. A graduation date has not yet been set. Once it is confirmed, we will share that information with the community.
There is much to look forward to in the coming weeks. Grades 3 and 4 will present their concert, “Silly Sailors,” on April 28, with Celebrations of Learning on June 4 (Grade 3) and June 11 (Grade 4). Grades 5 and 6 will have their concert and Celebrations of Learning on May 12, along with the mural project with Juniper Creative and many other special events. I encourage you to take time to enjoy these moments. They pass more quickly than we expect.
Wishing you a restful and meaningful break,
Neshobe Admin | | | | | | The past week and a half has been all about our Community Mural Project!
Will, Jennifer, and Alexa of Juniper Creative Arts spent time with every art class in grades K-6. Students worked collaboratively painting on a special type of fabric called mural cloth (see pictures). The painting they did will become an important part of our mural which the rest of the mural will be built around. The mural will be installed on the front of Neshobe school, facing route 73 and during April and May our work on the mural will continue and the mural will evolve. The mural will be completed by June 5th.
On Saturday, May 16th, we will host a Community Paint Day. Families and the community will be invited to join us at Neshobe school, grab a brush, and create artwork that will become part of the mural. More details on this will be coming after April break.
Also, in other news, save the date for this year's BIG Art Show at Otter Valley. This year it will take place on May 13th from 6-8 PM at Otter Valley. Students in grades K-6 are working hard to prepare for this show and we will have a LOT of fantastic art to share. A flyer with more information will be sent home after April break.
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Our kindergarten, first and second grade concert was wonderful and I'm so proud of our youngest musicians. They did so well. After vacation we are debuting our 3rd and 4th grade musical, Silly Sailors! Our 5th and 6th grade band and chorus concert is just around the corner on May 12th. Save the date!
As we look ahead to new opportunities the spring brings, I am excited to be the music director for Brandon Actors Troupe's first musical, The Jungle Book. It's open to all students K-6. We have so much talent in our school and I'd love to see our students come out to audition! Auditions will be May 3rd. You can find more information about audition sign ups on the Brandon Actors Troupe - BAT facebook page. You can also email brandonactorstroupe@gmail.com. | | | Dear Neshobe Grade 3 and 4 Families,
We are looking forward to welcoming you to our upcoming performance of Silly Sailors on April 28th at 6:00. Our students and staff have invested a great deal of time, energy, and creativity into preparing this lively and joyful show, and we are excited to share it with you.
To clarify, the Celebrations of Learning for both grades 3 and 4 will occur at a later time in academic year. Grade 3's Celebration of Learning is Thursday, June 4 from 4:00-5:00. Grade 4's Celebration of Learning is Thursday, June 11 from 5:30-6:15.
To ensure a smooth start to the evening, student performers are expected to arrive at school at 5:40. Please note that doors will not open prior to that time, as staff will be finalizing preparations for the concert.
We also ask that families make use of the parking available in the back of the building and reserve front spaces for those who may benefit from a shorter walk.
Thank you for your continued support. We are confident this will be a memorable evening filled with music, laughter, and celebration of our students’ hard work.
Warm regards, Neshobe School | | | | The Boys & Girls Summer Program at Neshobe still has space available. Applications for the Summer Program can be found at your child's school or by emailing Heather Best at hbest@rnesu.org.

Dear Neshobe Families and Caregivers,
RNESU is excited to offer summer programming for eligible students this July. Summit the Summer: Summer Learning Academy is a four-week program designed to support student growth in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment.
The program will run Monday through Friday, from 8:00 to 11:00, beginning Monday, July 6, 2026, and ending Friday, July 31, 2026. Programming will take place at both Lothrop Elementary School and Neshobe School.
We will be coordinating with local summer day camps through Pittsford Recreation (Pittsford) and the Boys & Girls Club (Brandon) to help ensure a smooth transition for students participating in both Summit the Summer and afternoon camp opportunities.
Our goal during these four weeks is to help students strengthen essential academic skills, build confidence, and remain engaged in learning through a combination of hands-on activities and targeted academic support.
Eligible students will receive additional information and registration materials through their classroom teachers.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Neshobe School Publishing |
