| | | | Let’s get ready for summer reading by trading books! From June 10th through June 16th, part of the Library will become a “new to you” bookshop. All students will visit the Book Swap Shop with their class.
At the Book Swap Shop, we use Lion Bucks instead of money. Each Lion Buck is worth one book. Every student will receive two Lion Bucks from the Library when they visit the Book Swap Shop.
In addition, students can trade up to ten books they own (but no longer want) for additional Lion Bucks to spend at the Book Swap Shop. Just bring the books, in good condition, to school and drop them off at the Library between Monday June 1 → Tuesday, June 9. | | All library books are due back at Library class during the week of June 8th!
We will have a poster raffle again this year. Return ALL your books to the library by Friday, June 12th and get a ticket for a chance to win a cool poster!

HUGE thanks to Will, Jennifer, and Alexa, of Juniper Creative Arts for partnering with us on this project. Also, thanks to all the students, staff, and community members who contributed to this project in so many different ways. The mural is fantastic and will be a bright spot at Neshobe, representing the energy, kindness, and joy of our community for many years to come. See the attached pictures below but make sure to stop by school and see it in real life as soon as you can. You'll be glad you did! | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Dear Neshobe Families and Caregivers, As we head into the final days of the academic year, we wanted to share an important update.
Staffing Update: Welcome (Back) Emma Atlee! We are pleased to share that Emma Atlee has accepted and has been approved for Neshobe School's open Grade 4 teaching position. We are excited to have Ms. Atlee return to Neshobe and continue building relationships with our students, families, and staff. Ms. Atlee is currently serving as a Grade 4 teacher at Neshobe Elementary School and brings a variety of experiences working with children and families. Prior to entering the classroom, she served for more than a year as a Victim Witness Advocate with the Middlesex District Attorney's Office. Her educational experiences also include student teaching in high school, serving as a summer camp assistant director for two years, working as a floating substitute within RNESU, and teaching Grade 4 this year at Neshobe. Ms. Atlee holds degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Keene State College and is currently pursuing licensure in Elementary Education and Special Education through the University of New Hampshire. Please join us in congratulating Ms. Atlee on her new role and welcoming her to the Grade 4 team. We look forward to the continued positive impact she will have on our students and school community. | | | Heather Best is looking for people who can help take care of Neshobe's chickens. Most children who are eligible will receive the $120 benefit automatically. Benefits can be used to buy food at grocery stores, farmer’s markets, and online where EBT cards are accepted.
The Vermont Department for Children and Families will send you a letter if your family will get the benefit automatically. If you already have an EBT card, the benefits will be added to that card. If you need a replacement card, you can call 1-888-354-0012 (Option 7). If you think you qualify, but you do not receive a letter by July, please visit https://summerebt.vermont.gov/ to submit a short application. Summer EBT benefits do not affect your immigration status. Families with EBT cards can visit Vermont State Parks for free! Just show your EBT card at the park entrance and you and your household can enter for free. Visit https://www.vermontparksforever.org/paf-pilot to learn more.
