9/27, 9/28, 9/29                 Class Picture Days

Good Afternoon Parents / Guardians,

I hope everyone has enjoyed the third (almost full) week of school. It is amazing to already see the students, especially our youngest, navigating the school and the expectations.  Today, each of our Kindergarten classrooms went on a tour of the school to find their missing Teddy Bears.  They met many helpful adults along the way and each Teddy Bear was found in my office along with some snacks.  The smiles on the children's faces when the bears were found were priceless!  They were so excited to find the Teddy Bears safe. One of our bears was actually found taking a nap!

Several classrooms have either filled marble jars, sticker charts,10 frames or  other classroom systems for following school/classroom expectations.  Kudos to them all!

Just a few reminders:

1. Please do not drop children off before 7:30 as we do not have supervision before then.

2. Please DO NOT pass around cars dropping off Preschoolers.  Kids may be getting out on either side of their vehicle.

3. Please make sure to call the office (247-3721) BEFORE 1:30 if you have any changes in your child's afternoon plan.  If you call after that we cannot always guarantee that we will get the information to the student/teacher prior to dismissal.

4. As the weather begins to get cooler, please make sure that students have warm clothes available.

"We're off to a great start having fun and making music in the Neshobe music room! Last week we started getting 4th, 5th and 6th graders all signed up for a band instrument if they're interested. This week we're getting 4th, 5th and 6th graders all signed up to be in the chorus! Chorus rehearsals will be on Tuesdays from 7:45am - 8:15am and our first rehearsal is next Tuesday, September 20th. Please look for an email with a form sent home to sign your student up if they're interested. Mrs. Murach"

Hello from the Art room!

Students have already begun working on their Square 1 Art projects. For families that are new to Neshobe, Square 1 Art is a PTO fundraiser that involves all students creating art during art class. Finished student artwork is sent to a company called Square 1 Art. Square 1 Art copies and returns the art to students along with an order form that gives families an option to order products like water bottles, coffee mugs, and much more with their child’s artwork on it. This year students will need to finish their Square 1 Art by October 10. Their personalized order forms should arrive at school on October 28th. All orders will need to be placed by November 8th. Square 1 Art has made a few big changes this year - one is that all orders must be placed online, the other is that all orders will be shipped to families homes (not to school). Also, we have been told that all students will again be receiving free custom stickers of their artwork with their order forms this year. It has been great to get back into the swing of things here at school and it feels like we are off to a great start in the Art room. I will continue to put updates and reminders about Square 1 Art, and Art class in general, in the newsletter. Email me at jbrodowski@rnesu.org with any questions.

Thanks!!!

Mrs. Buzzell's 1st graders have been working hard at learning Neshobe's expectations and practicing what it looks like to be kind, safe, and responsible across school settings. This week they earned their 100th star! They celebrated by wearing pjs and bringing a stuffy to school! them with their star jar!)
